The day my sister-in-law went into labor, the zombies broke out. The hospital soon became an isolated island.
With the water and power cut off, violent gangs closing in, and our food nearly gone, we had no choice but to launch a "Dunkirk evacuation." We didn't need to kill every zombie. We only needed to get everyone we could save out alive.
But escaping the hospital was only the beginning. The city outside had already fallen. We brought the newborn baby to a villa in the mountains, thinking we could hunker down and survive in peace. Who knew the end of the world would be far more complicated than we'd imagined?
Very beautiful, very realistic and humane
Where is her mother?
It's well written, I like it. I feel like reading other apocalyptic novels now makes me uncomfortable. This one is okay, not too scary. Will there be supernatural powers in the future?
