Lin En transmigrates physically into a fantasy world on another continent.
It's a fantastical world full of dragons, elves, and demons; mages, knights, and druids; castles, forests, and dungeons.
Lin En should have been wielding a holy sword to chop off an evil dragon's head in a dungeon, or waving a staff and shouting "Avada Kedavra" on a volcano at the end of the world.
Instead, he was born in an isolated village. Worse still, he's a "Muggle."
Though fate has him by the throat... he chooses to lie flat.
A peaceful life in a world of little bridges, flowing streams, and country homes isn't so bad, especially with beautiful women around.
But fate toys with him once again.
He's teleported to an adventurer's town, where he meets Millie, an unwanted bard.
Thus, two outcasts of fate become companions and begin their life as adventurers in Log Town.
Millie: "Huh? Aren't you a Muggle?" Lin En: "Who said that? I'm actually a necromancer."
Millie: "Huh? Aren't you a necromancer?" Lin En: "Actually, I know a bit of fire magic too."
Millie: "Huh? You know water magic too?" Lin En: "Didn't I tell you? I study three schools of magic."
Millie: "Huh? You can use spatial magic too?" Lin En: "Hey, time may be supreme, but space comes first. For a great mage like me, knowing a bit of spatial magic is perfectly normal."
Many years later, the renowned bard Millie travels to every corner of the continent of Mu, recounting the great adventures she shared with her sidekick, Lin En.
