World Conqueror: Starting in Borneo

[This story is entirely fictional and for entertainment only. Please don't take it seriously!]

Since the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, prefectures and commanderies had been established in Borneo and Confucian teachings spread. During the reign of Emperor Xian of Han, Liu Xin, governor of the province, declared himself King of Hannan. After Cao Pi changed dynasties, Liu Xin ascended the throne and founded the Southern Han dynasty.

Because Borneo was vast, sparsely populated, and blessed with abundant rainfall, it had not suffered a famine in centuries. The Southern Han dynasty endured several cycles of decline and resurgence until the Eastern Continent's Great Tang dynasty split it apart, reducing it to a vassal state of Tang.

Over the following thousand years, the Southern Han dynasty was revived three times and reunified the country. A little over a century ago, the corrupt court was thrown into disarray by the Great Qing dynasty of the Eastern Continent. More than ten years of warfare followed, leaving the Southern Han dynasty and six kingdoms.

At present, the Kingdom of Yanhan is the only one that has not signed treaties ceding territory and paying reparations, humiliating the nation and undermining its sovereignty.

In January of this year, the Kingdom of Yanhan was hit by torrential rains unseen in a century. The devastation was severe, and many people were displaced. Seizing the opportunity, the Western Borneo Kingdom invaded Yanhan.

During the Defense of Nanqiu County, Liu Anmin, a web-novel fan who had died of a heart attack in the modern world, transmigrated into the body of a young deputy battalion commander in the Kingdom of Yanhan and activated the Nation-Building and Conquest System. The System not only allowed Liu Anmin to check his subordinates' loyalty, military ability, political ability, economic ability, and other attributes, but could also grant various boosts. However, the System only provided support, not supplies.

Using the System to assess his subordinates' loyalty and abilities, Liu Anmin assigned people to their strengths and gradually built up his power base. He overthrew the Kingdom of Yanhan to establish the People's Republic of Great Han, then led it to steadily expand and annex the other countries, eventually turning it into a superpower that dominated the world.
