She transmigrates into a book and becomes a concubine who won't live past chapter three.
The male lead is the famed General of the North, a childhood friend and devoted partner to the female lead.
His concubine was forced on him by the old madam. He can't stand the sight of her.
In the original story, she is hacked to death by enemy soldiers.
Nalan Xiyue smiles.
Since she has no choice, she'll claim the very best.
She wants to be his legal wife, and she wants his heart.
The day he finally falls completely for her...
She turns around and runs off with someone else, leaving a heartbroken man behind.
Before long, the man catches her and grips her by the neck. His low, hoarse voice sounds by her ear.
"My dear wife, I've caught you."
(The female lead is not a good person. Don't read if that's not your thing.)
