After the apocalypse arrives, random [Public Votes] begin appearing throughout the world.
The majority's choice becomes reality, while those who choose a minority option receive extra rewards.
On the 163rd day of the disaster, a survival team that has been out of food for two days faces a new public vote.
[A: Destroy all vehicles.]
[B: Destroy 50% of all weapons.]
[C: Randomly eliminate one participant.]
[D: Every participant pays one year of their lifespan.]
Of the ninety-three people, seventy-one chose D.
It was only one year less to live, right?
In an apocalypse where no one knew if they would make it to tomorrow, what did one year of life matter?
Until the vote ended.
[Lifespan is not the same as age at death.]
[Over the next ten years, 365 calendar days will be randomly taken from each participant's life.]
Some people vanished from reality on the spot.
Jiang Xu, who had chosen a minority option, not only received an enhancer, but also awakened a special supernatural ability: [The Will of the People].
From then on, while others joining public votes were still guessing which option was safest, Jiang Xu had already started watching.
What was everyone planning to choose?
But as one vote after another appeared, Jiang Xu gradually noticed that something was off.
The participants in the public votes...
Didn't seem to be human alone.
Monsters, uncanny beings, other races, and even those high above all possessed votes of their own.
And once they, too, began taking part in the choices...
Did the majority's decision really still represent humanity?
This book is very nice, the subject matter is very novel, and it is worth reading.
It's the first time I've seen this kind of post-apocalyptic referendum article. It's quite attractive. Not bad.
