She's Too Wild, and Mr. Pei Falls for Her Step by Step

Pei Wendu, the unattainable flower of the capital's elite circles, avoids women and is cold and hard to approach.

But then he meets Lu Li, a straightforward heiress from Nanyang.

His nephew, Pei Yan, refuses to marry Lu Li, so she turns around and sets her sights on his uncle, Pei Wendu.

"Master Wen, how about you marry me?"

Lu Li's blunt proposal shocks everyone.

"Miss Lu, you're taking advantage of the situation. Know your place."

Pei Wendu is unmoved and flatly rejects her.

Later...

He runs, she chases, and he can't escape even if he had wings.

Pei Pei is teased by Lu Li until he can't take it anymore, and corners her against a wall.

"What exactly do you want?"

Lu Li rises onto her toes and leans close to his ear.

"I want you to break your vows. I want you to go mad. I want you to belong to me alone."

Pei Ji looks down at her. The Buddhist beads around his wrist snap, scattering across the floor, and he falls for her too.

"Master Pei, didn't you say you avoided women?"

He looks down at Lu Li, fast asleep in his arms, his gaze tender and devoted.

"I avoid other women."
