Chaohua was an Alaskan Malamute. A sled dog by nature, she was timid. One day, she accompanied her owner and a group of researchers as their guide into the snowy mountains.
But disaster struck: a blizzard hit, her owner accidentally fell into a ravine, and she fell in after them.
She thought she was going to freeze to death.
Then a black wolf rescued her and said he was a wolf from somewhere else, asking her to guide him.
Believing that one good turn deserved another, Chaohua agreed.
But who could have guessed that this scar-faced black wolf was a ghost wolf in wolf’s clothing, here to take revenge?
This is a fantasy story about animals, full of fluffy cuddles. There may be a little angst, but it’s a heartwarming tale.
The author isn’t a sled-dog or wildlife expert, so any inaccurate specialist details are simply in service of the story.
The setting is entirely fictional and blends many elements. Geography enthusiasts, please don’t scrutinize it too closely. Just switch off your brain and enjoy.
The protagonist isn’t perfect, grows over time, and the story is a slow burn.
