[Japanese-Style Fantasy] [Lighthearted Comedy] [Adventurers] [Spellblade]
I thought we were getting a laid-back Western Fantasy story. How did I end up from the start buried in debt and raising a red dragon?
After transmigrating to a Western Fantasy world of swords and magic, Laisi thought a classic quest to slay a dragon and save a princess awaited him.
But reality hit him hard: his built-in "Jack-of-All-Trades System" was completely inactive. After a whole month without a single decent job, he could only scrape by looking for lost cats, and was on the verge of ending up on the streets.
Then one day, a runaway red dragon girl who had torched more than ten acres of her landlord's farmland with a single blast of fire clung desperately to his leg.
Faced with the astronomical compensation bill that followed, Laisi was forced to return to his old line of work from his previous life. He embarked on an irreversible path to fortune through "manipulation" and "exploiting bugs in another world."
Much later...
"Harboring a calamity-class red dragon, leading a goblin tribe, desecrating the clergy... Laisi, do you know your crimes?"
As the Holy Knight laid into him, Laisi calmly straightened his collar in the defendant's seat. "Your Grace, I'm just an ordinary man who runs a perfectly legal business."
Before he could finish speaking, the great hall came crashing down.
A guard came tumbling down the steps. "Disaster! The red dragon is attacking with an army of monsters! They say if anyone so much as touches a hair on their boss's head, they'll level the Holy Temple!"
Laisi sighed helplessly and spread his hands toward the ashen-faced Holy Knight.
"See, Your Grace? I told you my clients are always so impatient."
