From Ancient Times to Today: A Country Girl Tends to Her Sickly, Handsome Prince in the Mountains

[A timid, death-fearing country girl transforms into a dashing female general]

[The clear-headed prince is a hopeless romantic who turns out to be an irresistible, possessive obsessive]

Song Mingyue met a pretty miserable end in her previous life.

Her granny sold her to Zhou Huainan for fifteen taels of silver, but terrified and panicking, she abandoned him and fled alone into the mountains. She scraped by in a wretched state until the mighty general found her and killed her with a single sword thrust.

Reborn, she takes Zhou Huainan with her into the mountains to stay alive.

Through a twist of fate, the jade pendants they each wore become a single jade gourd that can take them to the modern world.

At last, the mighty general arrives.

This time, Song Mingyue hands over the Zhou Huainan she's raised to be plump and healthy, and prepares to bow out after finishing her job, only to have him cling tightly to her leg.

He looks at Song Mingyue with innocent eyes:

“You're going to abandon me too, aren't you?”

“I don't care. I'm coming with you.”

“I kill without mercy, and my hands are covered in blood.”

“I'm a rough country girl, no match for the noble young ladies in the capital.”

“I know. I know all of that. I don't know why I love you.”

“But you're the only one I love.”
