Other people tame beasts with resources, talent, and bloodlines.
Lin Ye does it through archaeology.
Give him a fragment of oracle bone, and he can unearth the Four Winds Gods from Shang dynasty divinations.
Give him a relic token, and he can find clues to the Nine Sons of the Dragon in the Wildbone Mountains.
Give him a copy of the Classic of Mountains and Seas
“Wait, why do you have more and more spirit beasts? Doesn’t an F-rank space only have one slot?”
Lin Ye: “Who says I can only form a contract with one?”
The Four Winds Gods take turns appearing, the Nine Sons of the Dragon each return to their place, the Four Fiends clear their names, and the Twenty-Eight Lunar Mansions gather beneath the heavens.
While others are still risking their lives over a single Mythic spirit beast, the entirety of Chinese mythology is already standing behind Lin Ye.
