Niu Ma is a top-tier corporate drudge making 3,000 yuan a month. Her greatest joy in life is counting money.
On the eve of National Day, she is heading out for hot pot when her heartless boss stops her. She thinks she's about to be laid off, but then Old Master Qian waves a hand and says, “I'll pay you 500,000 a month to be my housekeeper. Catch a monster and I'll add another 500,000 as hush money!”
Niu Ma slaps her thigh. “Now that's a great job!”
Only after joining the wealthy Qian family does she discover that this “monster” situation is downright ridiculous. The second young master, Qian Bo, bleats like a sheep in his sleep every night, calling out for his sister-in-law. The third young master, Qian Tu, is a stunningly handsome man with an ancient-style look, but the whole family, Niu Ma included, teams up to put on a melodramatic sob story and somehow tricks him into taking over the company.
While managing the accounts, Niu Ma also tears the fake-sweet sister-in-law to shreds and kicks the heartless boss who exploited her at work out the door. Determined to restore the business her late mother loved to its former glory, she sets her sights on Qian Tu's connections and keeps finding excuses to get close to him.
After spending so much time together, Niu Ma's conscience starts bothering her, so she decides to come clean. “Qian Tu, I have something to confess.”
But she slips up and says, “Qian Tu, I want to confess my love to you.”
Qian Tu is silent for three seconds. “Sure. I'm yours, and so is my money. Calculate how much you'll make in a year.”
Niu Ma's eyes light up. She whips out her calculator and starts punching in numbers. “Wait a second, let me work it out!”
Be a housekeeper and get a husband and an entire company thrown in too? What a bargain!
