At 12:40 a.m., Chen Du, a locksmith working the night shift, gets an emergency call.
A woman is pounding desperately on the door of Room 604 in Building 6, Wutong Lane. But the real person calling for help, Lin Jianwei, is standing behind him, trembling as she says, "Don't open it. Two weeks ago, this building didn't even have a Room 604."
Chen Du doesn't open the door. He escapes with Lin Jianwei from the endlessly repeating sixth floor, but from then on he bears his first taboo:
After midnight, if you hear someone behind you call your full name, do not turn around.
Later, he discovers that every person he saves from a ghost story adds another taboo he cannot escape.
Five years ago, his younger sister, Chen Zhi, disappeared in an old building that has since been demolished. Chen Du has always regretted not opening the door for her that night. Now, her voice comes from behind another door:
"Brother, are you still not going to open the door this time?"
The plot is good, but the details are not enough, and the descriptions of various micro-expressions are incomplete. It didn't feel exciting to watch, and the progression of the plot was a bit abrupt. Secondly, the description of the environment is insufficient. I can only tell where I am now from the character dialogue, which makes me dazzled🤦
