Siheyuan: From the Start, I'm at the Military Control Council, with Zheng Yaoxian as My Subordinate

Qin Chuan wakes up to find that he has transmigrated to the early 1950s and become the specially appointed director of the Beiping Military Control Commission and head of the Special Investigation Office!

On the surface, he is a demobilized officer who has quietly moved into Courtyard No. 95. In secret, he is an ace agent who strikes fear into the hearts of his enemies, with life and death in his hands and a host of fierce subordinates: Zheng Yaoxian, Ming Lou, Wang Tiankang, and more...

He had planned to hide his identity and draw out the enemy spies in hiding. Who knew the beasts in the courtyard would be so blind as to come knocking on his door and beg for death!

Yi Zhonghai tries to guilt-trip him into providing for his old age? Qin Chuan labels it "sabotaging unity between the military and civilians" and sends him to the front to dig trenches!

Jia Zhangshi throws a tantrum and tries to steal a house? He arrests her for "provoking trouble and suspected contact with enemy spies," then gives her the full interrogation treatment at the station!

Silly Zhu tries to throw his weight around and start a fight? The ace agent teaches him a lesson, crippling him on the spot and breaking his leg!

Xu Damao secretly writes a denunciation letter? Qin Chuan turns the tables, digs up his traitorous past, and uproots his whole operation!

While the beasts in the courtyard scheme over half a jin of cornmeal and fight like dogs every day, Qin Chuan is already working with Zheng Yaoxian to lay an inescapable net across the capital.

He sips wine beneath Zhengyang Gate, keeps a beautiful confidante close, and watches coldly as the beasts weep in the labor camp.

Qin Chuan sneers, "Even 'Kite' has to call me sir and behave himself. What makes you think you're anyone, daring to mess with me?"
