The first time Qin Moyan saw Chang Qingyu, he had just one thought.
His nephew was quite something: instead of keeping a canary he liked, he kept one Qin Moyan liked.
Qin Moyan knew it was immoral, but Qingyu was such a wonderful person, and his nephew, a man devoted to his first love, didn’t deserve him. So Qin Moyan could only offer himself to Qingyu as compensation.
He used every means at his disposal to bring the first love back from abroad and get the two of them together, all so he could claim that beautiful canary.
Chang Qingyu was a miserable corporate drone, exploited by his boss all day and delivering takeout at night. After working hard for half his life, he died suddenly at his desk from nonstop overtime.
He thought he could finally be free, but when he opened his eyes again, some lousy System had dragged him off to do more grunt work. He had become a pitiful little white flower sponsored by the male lead of a melodramatic wealthy-family novel. All he had to do was push the plot forward and bring about the leads’ mutual love, and he would earn sixty million yuan.
He rubbed his hands together, ready to drive the plot forward with all his might. But when he looked around, sword in hand, he was at a loss. He had barely done any work, yet the mission had completed itself?
Noticing the gaze of the all-powerful younger uncle in the novel growing more and more unsettling, Chang Qingyu instinctively chose to run. But before he could stay away for even a month, Qin Moyan caught up with him and carried him home.
Both leads are inexperienced. Qingyu and the nephew only have a straightforward sponsor-and-beneficiary relationship, though they are mistaken for lovers. There will also be a little of the secondary couple, but not much; they’re only there to move the plot along.
