[Mortal's Path to Immortality + Slow-Burn Power Progression + Fantasy + No Mindless Protagonist + Ensemble Cast and Wits]
In the Age of Declining Dharma, cultivation resources are desperately scarce. Blessed lands and hidden realms have all but disappeared, and spiritual energy is hopelessly polluted. Many cultivators can no longer draw pure spiritual energy from the world around them and must rely on natural treasures to cultivate. Resources are stretched to the breaking point.
The Cultivation Alliance has a rigid hierarchy, and its laws uphold a false semblance of peace within its ranks. Beyond its borders, cultivators treat the bodies of the demon race as cultivation materials, while demons regard the flesh and blood of cultivators as nourishing delicacies. As the space available to survive grows ever more crowded, the long-dormant demon race makes a comeback.
After Chen Fan, who has two spiritual apertures, joins the Cultivation Alliance, he expects to rise to prominence and make a name for himself. Instead, he discovers that the cultivation world is also a place where discrimination and exploitation go hand in hand, and death lurks alongside traps. With poor aptitude, no family resources to support him, and a place at the very bottom of the Alliance, he sees no hope of getting ahead. Then one day, he discovers that the jade gourd he has worn since childhood can help him absorb spiritual energy from the world around him! At last, Chen Fan has a glimmer of hope amid his countless hardships.
It's beautiful. I like it very much. Please update it.
