Power and Illegitimacy

My name is Jiang Nuo.

When I transmigrated to Great Liang, I was in a dilapidated temple, holding my great-uncle, who had frozen to death.

The only thing of value I owned was a jade pendant.

It was a token my never-seen father had left for my mother.

I heard he was the Marquis of Jingnan, a pillar of Great Liang and a mighty general.

Sounds impressive, right?

But he doesn’t even know he has a son.

I took the pendant to Shangdu and entered the Marquis of Jingnan’s residence, only to discover that it was colder there than in the ruined temple.

But it doesn’t matter.

If I survived the temple, what’s a marquis’s residence?

What’s the imperial court?

And what’s the world of Great Liang itself?
