Gu Chi is a mystery in the cultivation world.
He's human, yet he became a demon king.
His many underlings are all fearsome great demons, each powerful enough to turn an entire region upside down.
As for Gu Chi himself, after two hundred years in the cultivation world, he's still a weakling at Foundation Establishment.
But the great demons say, "It doesn't matter if the boss is strong. As long as we are."
The day the Heavenly Dao collapsed, Gu Chi was bound to the Myriad Realms Tourism System and returned to the modern world with a group of great demons.
The System gave him a barren mountain to turn into a scenic attraction, and helpfully warned him:
"If you transfer it without authorization or slack off, the Host will face the ultimate punishment: baldness, disability, and an intelligence level of zero. All accompanying demon spirits will lose the ability to take human form and remain in their original forms forever."
Gu Chi immediately abandoned the idea of slacking off. "It's just running a scenic spot, right? Can't I just copy what I've seen?"
He knew all about the magnificent ancient cities, floating celestial sects, underwater dragon palaces, and mystic ice realms of the cultivation world.
And so...
The Blazing Heaven Fire Phoenix put on an aerial fireworks show, the ancient black dragon skimmed across the lake and commanded the water, the white tiger patrolled to keep the peace, and the boar demon manned the kitchen at the restaurant...
All the great demons got jobs, and it turned out they were more competitive than one another:
"Boss, what's a two-day weekend? I don't want one."
"I could be sleeping, but I'm going to work!"
"I love work! Work loves me!"
Watching the numbers in his bank account soar day after day, Gu Chi could only sigh in distress:
"Bosses, could you all take a break? We can't even spend all this money!"
