1970s setting + hardcore hunting
In the winter of 1970, heavy snow sealed off the Qinling Mountains. With New Year's Eve approaching, Ou Yugui's family had only half a cornmeal bun left.
Watching his wife and children face starvation, Ou Yugui clutched the only thing his family owned, a rusty pair of scissors, and plunged into the blizzard.
Ding! The Myriad Spirits System has activated!
[Rusty Wang Mazi scissors: Brother, give me a chance. I can snip a wild boar's neck clean through!]
[Worn-out hemp rope: Just pull hard, and I can tie up a black bear like a dumpling!]
From then on, the Aotai route through the Qinling Mountains lost one starving man waiting to die and gained an uncrowned Hunting King, his waist laden with battered scraps of metal.
