After years of exploring this ability, whose name she doesn't know, she's mostly figured out how it works: auras reveal eighteen types and personalities, while energy fluctuations reveal potential and aptitude.
Even with her eyes covered, she can tell that the lively Pokemon in front of her is a Water-type just from the fresh sea-salt scent wafting toward her.
She's also noticed that Pokemon whose energy fluctuations are more pronounced tend to evolve faster and master their moves more easily.
What's more, whenever she spends time playing with Pokemon she likes, she feels refreshed and full of energy. It's as if the Pokemon's energy reaches her through the deep emotional bonds they share. It's a truly wonderful feeling.
