Chen Zhen Investigates Yin and Yang

Beneath the bustling city, countless high-rises and old houses conceal dangerous layouts.

Residents who die in bizarre suicides, apartments haunted by strange noises in the middle of the night, century-old homes where disasters keep striking… Every seemingly inexplicable, eerie case is entangled with a mysterious feng shui formation.

Others blame ghosts and spirits, but Chen Zhen sees through it at a glance: these so-called sinister forces are all deadly traps laid by human hands.

Chen Zhen, owner of a secondhand shop, possesses a secret art for reading the features of places. With keen eyes, he reads the yin and yang, identifies the layouts, and breaks the deadly formations.

Policewoman Lin Xiaoran comes to him with one unsolved case after another, cases the police can't explain.

Chen Zhen traverses haunted homes and dangerous old buildings across the city, searching for clues left by the killer in the direction of doors and windows, the alignment of beams and pillars, and the underground currents.

Zhou Xuan, a fraud who pretends to practice the occult, keeps setting deadly traps and using feng shui legends to kill, repeatedly clashing with Chen Zhen.

As a decades-old massacre of his sect becomes intertwined with one deadly urban scheme after another, Chen Zhen must not only unravel the traps in front of him, but also expose the mastermind behind the destruction of his sect.

Among the city's countless buildings, every formation hides a life, and every glance reads the yin and yang.
