I'm an ordinary modern office worker. One day, I discovered a grand strategy game called "Rise of Great Qin" on my computer. The game map was none other than the real world at the end of the Warring States period!
Even more absurdly, the NPCs in the game were all real historical figures! I could give them quests just like in any other game!
[You issued a quest to NPC "Ying Zheng": [Find High-Yield Crops]. Quest reward: 10 potato seeds. Confirm?]
[You issued a quest to NPC "Wang Jian": [Try a New Tactic: Three-by-Three Formation]. Quest reward: 1 annotated copy of "The Art of War". Confirm?]
My only agent in the game was a young girl named "A Yao" (the heroine). She was responsible for transmigrating to the Qin Dynasty and personally delivering my "divine oracles" and reward supplies to Ying Zheng.
Ying Zheng revered A Yao as a divine emissary and obeyed her every word. The rulers of the Six States trembled in fear. They had no idea that their opponent was a modern player who could reveal the whole map, pause time to think, and even "whale" like crazy by exchanging real money for game resources!
Unifying the Six States? That was just a tutorial quest! My goal was to lead Great Qin through a series of epic expansions, including the "Industrial Revolution," "Conquest of Rome," and "Lighting Up the World"!
