After the Wicked First Wife Awakens, Her Rough-Hewn Husband Can't Stop Spoiling Her

[No rebirth + no transmigration + no golden finger + male lead with a high sex drive] Read with caution if this bothers you.

Jiang Nan awakened on her wedding night.

It turned out she was the vicious original wife who made a scene over everything, while her husband, Shi Xu, was the male lead. She existed only to make the heroine seem kind and gentle.

According to the original plot, her husband would be exonerated and return to the city two years later, while she would be sentenced to reform through labor for cheating with a male educated youth and abusing her husband, and would eventually die miserably on a farm.

To escape her fate, Jiang Nan changed her ways completely.

She stopped letting her family mooch off her and devoted herself to supporting her husband. When her awful relatives kicked up a fuss, she reclaimed what was hers and split from them. When a scumbag showed up to make himself relevant again, Jiang Nan packed him off to a labor farm.

All she wanted was to keep her head down until the male lead was exonerated, avoid being driven into a corner, and, ideally, get some money in the divorce.

But why was Shi Xu acting so strange?

Wasn't he supposed to be in love with the heroine and divorce her? Why had he locked them in their room and kept consummating their marriage?
