Everyone says that during the reign of Kangxi, the world experienced peace and prosperity.
But only those living at the bottom know that this so-called prosperous age is a paradise for the powerful and a purgatory for the common people.
Outside the wicker border, it is bitter cold and barren, and human life is not as good as grass.
Lu Juemin traveled back in time to the so-called prosperous age of Kangxi and became Atai, a poor lower-class bannerman who couldn't afford to eat and couldn't survive the winter.
I originally wanted to keep myself safe, hunt tigers to make a living, and protect my relatives to survive. However, the government is unrestrained, the powerful are rampant, no rewards are given for meritorious deeds, and punishments are increased for innocent people.
They seize credit, frame up, silence, and cover up the sky with their official arrogance, blocking the way for honest people to survive.
Since peace of mind is death and forbearance is death, then Artai will simply tear apart the mask of this hypocritical and prosperous world!
In the court game, he reversed the situation and toughened the powerful people in the border village;
To survive in troubled times, he gathered his brothers and took root in the desperate situation at the bottom;
Step by step, he tore apart the corruption, oppression, hypocrisy and numbness of the Kangxi era.
The world respects the imperial power and fears prosperity, but Atai is the only one who dares to say:
This prosperous age does not deserve to be called a prosperous age if it bullies, oppresses, and deceives the people!
From a small hunter in the border village to the rebel that Kangxi hated most.
He killed the powerful, destroyed privileges, overthrew etiquette, and shaken the imperial power.
In the end, Kangxi, who was sitting high in the Hall of Supreme Harmony, saw with his own eyes that the eternal prosperous age that he was so proud of collapsed!
I, Atai, was born in poverty, started from humble beginnings, and will eventually overthrow this old era of cannibalism!
