Gentle, steadfast ER doctor (top) × outwardly cold but soft-hearted architectural designer (bottom)
Trying to save money, architectural designer Xu Zhou rented an old apartment at an unbelievably low price. After moving in, he discovered that someone else was living there, too: food vanished from the fridge, unfamiliar items appeared in the bathroom, and a line of text would sometimes show up on the table: “Who are you?”
The other person was Jiang Chi, an ER doctor living three years in the past. They shared the same apartment but occupied different timelines. They could see each other only at 6:42 every evening, for eighteen minutes.
They cooked for each other and left notes, gradually falling for one another during their brief meetings. Then Xu Zhou found an old newspaper article revealing that Jiang Chi had died in a fire three years earlier. At the same time, Jiang Chi saw Xu Zhou’s name in the death records, with a date of death just seven days away.
Two deaths three years apart, and an apartment forgotten by time. As the countdown begins, they must choose between saving each other and being separated forever.
But Jiang Chi held Xu Zhou’s hand, refusing to let the evening end.
“Eighteen minutes is too short. This time, I want to spend an entire day with you.”
