Fellow cultivator, I’m glad our paths have crossed among so many books. You can refer to the chapters below and sample this chef’s cooking to see how it tastes.
No more rambling. Here are the highlights and key plot points:
Chapter 1: Xianxian emerges from the Burial Mounds; background information.
Chapter 5: Mom Cangse returns and meets Xianxian for the first time (^з^).
Chapters 12 (second half), 13, and 14: After Xianxian, Wangji, and Cangse are ambushed, the three are trapped in a cave together. The first signs that Xianxian has lost his golden core appear.
Chapter 16: Still in that cave, Xianxian and Wangji are forced to cuddle up to avoid their enemies (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎).
(Chapter 17: Jiang Cheng comes to find Xianxian, and they bicker as usual. Cangse meets Jiang Cheng.)
Chapters 18–20: The Meng Yao arc; less Wangxian content.
Chapters 21–25: Xianxian and Wangji argue on the battlefield. Later, Cangse tries to clear up a misunderstanding but only makes things worse. In chapters 24–25, Cangse and Wangji see Xianxian’s dantian and discover he has no golden core (ToT)/~~~.
Chapter 26: Everyday moments with Xianxian, Jiang Cheng, Shijie, and Wen Qing.
Chapters 27–28: Jiang Cheng puts down an internal revolt among several members of the Jiang clan, and resentment toward Xianxian begins to grow.
Chapter 29: Shijie and Jin Zixuan’s story.
Chapter 31 onward: Cangse, Wangji, and Jiang Cheng enter Xianxian’s memory illusion and witness the truth behind the golden-core extraction and the three months at the Burial Mounds. Prepare plenty of tissues for the angst (ಠ_ರೃ).
I’ve currently drafted up to around this point... I don’t expect this story to be very long, probably around a hundred thousand or so Chinese characters.
This chef hopes the story will be logical and hold up to scrutiny, so there will be a little more detail in the plot and descriptions. Feel free to skip anything you don’t want to read... But this chef really has been thinking about it for a long time T…T
