Liu Zhao transmigrated into a book.
She became a baby in an old-fashioned, melodramatic angst novel. (There's only one chapter about her infancy.)
The good news was that she was lucky enough to be born as a pampered rich kid.
The bad news was that something seemed off. She wasn't the protagonist, a supporting character, or even a cannon-fodder character.
She was nothing at all.
That damned System had gotten the timeline wrong and sent her to the ending.
At this point, it would be more accurate to say she'd transmigrated to ancient times than into a book.
And that wasn't even the worst part.
Liu Zhao had only just discovered she had a System when it vanished without a trace. It didn't show up again until her coming-of-age ceremony fifteen years later.
What did that mean?
It meant she had to work now. She couldn't be a lazy couch potato anymore.
So Liu Ruofu, formerly known as Liu Zhao, embarked on the righteous path of punishing evil and upholding good, setting things right and swearing to become a legendary heroine known throughout the land.
Along the way, Liu Ruofu felt that something was seriously off. For starters, there was the handsome man who inexplicably clung to her.
Could someone explain why she'd become so forgetful? Why were there people the System couldn't find? Why was the original protagonist involved? And why did so many details contradict the original story?
Gradually, events took an increasingly unpredictable turn. Liu Ruofu just wanted to demand of the System: "How dare you say that again? What am I supposed to investigate? I'm a fan of the book. How could I not know the original plot?"
Forget it. This is exhausting. If I keep thinking, my CPU's going to overheat.
I'd rather hold the handsome man in my arms and take a nap.
Content warnings: There is a System, but it doesn't show up often. The golden finger isn't all that overpowered, I guess. There's a BL couple in the story, but they don't get much screen time. Finally, romance is what matters most: the couple is sweet, sweet, sweet.
