[Dual talents + rule combinations + play the pig to eat the tiger + one female lead + brothers standing together + clever antagonists]
On awakening day, Lu Ye draws an F-rank talent: [Bully the weak, fear the strong].
Against the weak, he always wins.
Against the strong, he always loses.
The admissions teacher falls silent for a moment, then offers an assessment: "You should consider early childhood education."
The whole crowd bursts out laughing.
No one knows that Lu Ye has also awakened a second F-rank talent: [Self-deception].
Once a day, he can make himself completely believe a lie for three seconds.
On their own, one is useless, the other a lunatic.
Until, at a moment of life and death, Lu Ye looks at the A-rank ferocious beast before him and tells himself:
"It's weaker than me."
The next second, the beast's head rolls to his feet.
As it turns out, [Bully the weak, fear the strong] judges strength according to his own perception.
From then on, Lu Ye is absurdly strong for three seconds every day.
But only for three seconds.
Pick the wrong target, run into a decoy, or fail to touch the enemy in time, and once the time runs out, he's back on his knees.
To make those three seconds count, he finds a brother who's exceptionally good at escaping and meets a girl who draws her sword faster than he can lie.
His brother's job is to carry him back alive.
The girl's job is to make sure the enemy can't land a finishing blow.
Lu Ye's job is to pick fights with the most powerful enemies when he's at his poorest.
Then the man whose plans he has repeatedly foiled lays a countdown on the negotiating table.
"Three seconds. Once a day. You have to act in person."
The man smiles and slides over two photographs.
One is of his brother.
The other is of the girl he likes.
I was attracted by the introduction, but the protagonist's personality traits were not constructed at all. I read 10 chapters and couldn't remember who was who. The plot was less emotional, just like the elementary school journal, and the writing style always felt like AI, although I haven't found any evidence yet.
