A pro player in the national tournament. In the middle of a game, Lin Beichen is dragged into a place that doesn't exist on the map: a hundred-level Otherworld. Every level has an announcement, a set of rules, and an item that only works on that level. Clear it and survive; fail, and the game is over, literally.
The good news is that he's a pro who makes his living with his brains. While others are still reading the rules line by line, he's already worked out the key mechanic of the level. While others run for their lives from monsters, he spots a 0.3-second delay in the announcement and sees that the "System" isn't perfect.
He uses items in reverse, exploits loopholes, and plays people like a game. While everyone else is bawling and begging for the next level not to be too hard, Lin Beichen is turning each circle of hell into a speedrun guide.
But the higher he climbs, the more wrong things seem: survivors vanishing without a trace, the previous batch of "left-behind ones," and the promise that "clearing the levels will let you go home"... Lin Beichen finally understands that these hundred levels were never meant to be "conquered." So he'll tear the whole thing out by its roots.
At first glance, it looks like it was written by a real person. These few words from this rant are really exciting.
