[Forced Cohabitation] [Cold at First, Then Devoted] [Sweet Romance, No Angst]
There were two things Pei Lin hated most: trouble, and delicate little princesses who needed to be coddled.
Xu Zhimian was both.
Their families had been close for generations, and she had been pampered by her parents since childhood. She was afraid of the dark and of being alone, and even cutting fruit made her worry about slicing her hand. When her family ran into trouble, they sent her to stay with the Pei family for a while.
His mother repeatedly told him to look after her. He just saw her as one more nuisance and planned to keep his distance, figuring out of sight meant out of mind.
But the girl didn't fuss or make a scene. She was quiet and, even when she felt wronged, would only pout and softly say, "Brother Pei Lin, I'm a little scared."
He thought grimly, She really is a nuisance.
Then he ate his words.
The young master of the Pei family, who had once hated trouble more than anything, began taking care of her in every little detail:
If she couldn't sleep, he stayed with her. If she'd been wronged, he held her. If anyone teased her even a little too much, he would pull her behind him with a dark look.
"Xu Zhimian, don't get close to anyone else. Just stay by my side."
No one expected that the arrogant heir of the Pei family would eventually become the clingiest, most possessive caretaker devoted exclusively to her.
From reluctantly looking after her, to loving every minute of it, to becoming completely hooked.
The male and female protagonists are very interesting, but I feel that the male and female protagonists don't have as many scenes as the female protagonist and the second male lead. The second male protagonist has too many scenes, and it's greasy. It's difficult to write a plot where the female protagonist can't refuse him.
