Where Did the Cold, Aloof Executive's Persona Go? Why Does He Kiss Me the Moment We Meet?

[Two Powerful Leads] [Two Male Leads] [Past and Present Lives] [Interstellar] [Small Ensemble Cast] [With Spirit Companions, Not Sentinel-Guide] [Over-the-Top, Satisfying Romance]

A combat-power ceiling of a protagonist who flirts without realizing it X a smiling-tiger, peacock-like, duplicitous love interest

-

After a grave mistake, the Alliance's highest executive becomes a prisoner overnight. Before his execution, the only person who comes to visit him in secret is the Imperial Heir. Everyone knows the executive and the heir have been enemies for years over military power, but no one knows they were once each other's closest lovers.

-

After his execution, Yu Ran miraculously comes back to life a hundred years later. When he sees Shen Yuye again for the first time, words seem utterly inadequate. His lips move hesitantly: "Wifey?"

Shen Yuye sneers, thinking, "He's quite the convincing actor."

Later, Shen Yuye is the first one who can no longer keep up the act.

"Big brother, why are you ignoring me?"

-

Across his two lives, Yu Ran's heart holds planets, the Alliance, and Shen Yuye.

But the Imperial Heir, Shen Yuye, has a secret: from beginning to end, his world has held only Yu Ran.

-

*Both leads are intensely devoted to each other.

A note: The love interest's personality has never changed. In his previous life, he was a total B-king, and all his affected seriousness in this life is an act too. Yu Ran is the protagonist, and Shen Yuye is the love interest.

Content warning: This is not a conventional romance. Early on, the love interest has wealth and influence but no combat strength. Includes curse and serious-illness tropes. Not suitable for readers who are extremely particular about either lead.

At its heart, this is a sweet, satisfying story. Thanks for reading.
