You Asked Me to Make a Game That Loses Money, but I Wiped Out the Entire Player Base

[Game Development] [Everyday Comedy] [Subverting Expectations] [Livestream] [Misunderstandings] [Players Left Depressed]

Synopsis:

Can he go home and live the ultimate lie-flat life, collecting three million in monthly spending money, if he loses ten million yuan in a legally compliant way?!

Lu Yan, son of the richest man in the country, takes on this outrageous bet to blow through the money. With two friends who know nothing about business, he dives into a game investment competition broadcast online!

To get a refund rate above 90% in the first round and go bankrupt right away, he does the exact opposite of what anyone expects. He makes Hardcore Truck, a game with no in-app purchases and pure, hardcore physics, then comes up with the utterly deranged "Net Profit Rankings" for all players, with no weight limits and no warnings about right and wrong!

Then the scene shifts...

"The heavy-duty truck is airborne! I'm going to overload it by 300%!" A streamer with twenty million followers recklessly races to climb the rankings.

"The brakes have carbonized? Uncle, don't take the steel beam for me! No!" The streamer who was swaggering a moment ago watches an NPC die in a bloody sacrifice, then cries like a child in the livestream.

The game explodes in sales on launch! Players across the internet weep and argue furiously: "Boss Lu pinned the profit rankings on purpose. It's a mirror that exposes every demon. That leaderboard is a vile list, piercing the conscience of everyone online!"

Short sellers go bankrupt in an instant, while Lu Yan's billionaire father is overjoyed and pours in hundreds of millions more!

Faced with the frenzied adoration of millions of viewers, Lu Yan clutches his thermos, despairing inwardly: "Please, just hurry up and get refunds! I'm really not some gaming god. I just want to go bankrupt, go home, and be a rich second-generation heir who does nothing but mooch off his family!!!"
