The male lead, Qin Cang, was originally a low-level rogue cultivator who acted recklessly. But after accidentally binding himself to the magic treasure Mountain-Shaking Hammer in a secret realm of the Biyun Sect and destroying the realm's barrier, he is forced to flee.
On the road while recovering from his injuries, Qin Cang stumbles upon a Foundation Establishment cultivator disguising himself as a Qi Refinement cultivator to rob people. It makes him reflect on his own behavior. After painful consideration, he resolves to train hard in escape techniques and embrace the way of keeping a low profile.
Unfortunately, the escape technique he buys on the black market with most of his savings is riddled with hidden dangers. Alone and outnumbered, Qin Cang can only grit his teeth and endure. Still, with his escape technique, he sets out on a path of immortal cultivation: using the Mountain-Shaking Hammer to smash through formations and restrictions, ransacking treasures from caves and secret realms, then relying on his escape technique to make a blazing getaway after looting, never fighting if he can simply run.
