Zhou Ci was a struggling streamer. After three months of streaming, he had 237 followers and 3 to 5 viewers a day, two of whom were his own alt accounts.
That day, he started a game stream as usual. The chat was as quiet as ever.
He took a sip of water, looked back up, and saw the viewer count: 8,342.
The chat was flying by, but the messages were strange: “So bright,” “Is this what the human world looks like?” “Streamer, what’s that glowing board?”
Zhou Ci thought it was some kind of prank, until a message slowly floated past:
“Grandson, I'm your third uncle. I drowned in the river fourteen years ago. Let your uncle get a look at you.”
After he ended the stream, someone knocked on the door three times. There was no one outside, but a puddle of water had appeared on the ground.
From that day on, Zhou Ci's livestream was never the same again.
