Fated Tangle: The Aloof Empress Is Pulled from Her Pedestal

The Empress of the Great Wilderness rules the world, but an ancient poison has left her unable to bear children, putting her throne in grave peril.

To secure her imperial power, she sets her sights on a frail hostage prince from an enemy nation, newly sent to her court for a political marriage and too weak to hurt a fly.

"Undress." Deep behind the curtains, the Empress's eyes turn red as the tip of her sword parts the young man's collar.

She thinks he will be an obedient, well-behaved antidote and baby-making tool. Who could have guessed that the seemingly meek and timid youth is actually a world-destroying Demon Lord who has been lying in wait for ten years?

By day, he is a good-for-nothing male favorite, scorned and mocked by the ministers, wagging his tail and begging at the Empress's feet.

By night, he casts off his disguise and, in the most aggrieved tone, backs the all-powerful Empress into a corner and holds her firmly in his control. "Your Majesty said you'd toss me aside once you were done with me? My life belongs to you, but Your Majesty... belongs to me alone."

When the enemy army presses at the borders and the ministers force their way into the palace, thinking the Empress has no allies, her male favorite tears open the void with his bare hands, and ten thousand demons bow to him.

It's over. Now everyone in the world knows that the haughty Empress is being spoiled in return by her own loyal puppy!
