After Saving a Curvy Young Housekeeper, Regiment Commander Gu Falls for Her

[Period Setting + Devoted Couple + Curvy Beauty + Military Powerhouse]

Because of her pretty face and figure, Qiao Yinhua caught the eye of the town chief's spoiled son, who sent a matchmaker to ask for her hand.

Her father demanded a bride price of eight hundred yuan, plus ten coupons each for cloth and grain, and planned to sell her off.

The next day, she fled to the city with her neighbor and close friend to find work.

But not only did she get separated from her friend at the station, she also caught the eye of human traffickers.

Luckily, a kind stranger appeared out of nowhere and rescued her. He even offered to hire her for twenty yuan a month to work as a housekeeper and care for his disabled grandmother.

A job that paid so well and was so easy to do was hard to find even with a lantern, so Qiao Yinhua accepted at once.

She swore she really only wanted to care for the old lady and save enough money to make a life for herself in the city.

So why was the way Colonel Gu looked at her getting stranger by the day? He was like a hungry wolf about to swallow her whole.

If she runs away now, will she still make it in time?

At first, Gu Huaiqing clearly disapproved of Qiao Yinhua's voluptuous figure and the tight clothes she wore while wandering around outside. He thought her manner was frivolous.

But later, he couldn't help letting his gaze fall on her again and again.

Every time he looked, the devil inside him stirred.

Then one day, he could no longer hold back. All he wanted was to pull the delicate beauty into his arms and tease her mercilessly.

It seemed his heart had fallen for her completely…
