They say that when the Crimson Sun rises, all things begin to wither.
That sickly sun high in the sky has looked down upon all living things for more than two hundred years.
Two hundred years was enough for countless civilizations and nations to become ruins, enough for all survivors to learn to hide by day and come out by night, enough for zombies to build a dark ecosystem of seven factions across the wasteland, and enough for the souls trapped inside zombie bodies to be completely forgotten.
But it was not enough to make all hope in this world wither away.
For beneath the darkness, some people gave their lives to light the dawn for others.
For beneath the cage, some people used their faith to sing of freedom to others.
And so, beneath the Crimson Sun, the trapped souls would one day be saved.
This is a new book I picked up during my book shortage. It doesn't have many words but it's very comfortable to read. Tens of thousands of words have laid out the background and characters in place, and laid out the foreshadowing, without any messy plots. It's still in the early stages, and I'm looking forward to the subsequent conflicts and developments.
