You Pick on the Honest Ones? Their Whole Family Is Crazy

A new family has moved into Xia'an Village. They're all honest, decent people.

The lady of the house is quiet, but kindhearted and helpful. No one has ever seen her lose her temper.

Her husband is a scholar, handsome, upright, kind, and honest.

Their son is in poor health, but gentle and considerate.

Their daughter is shy and timid, too afraid to talk to anyone.

By all appearances, this family seems easy to bully.

So a band of robbers set their sights on them.

Before they could make a move, their hideout was wiped out four times in one night.

...Only then did they realize the whole family were deranged fiends.

Mu Xu is a notoriously vicious demon clan guardian.

While disguised as a mortal, she accidentally saves a scholar, who clings to her and insists she take responsibility for him.

Their personalities click, they make a handsome and well-matched couple, and they marry in no time.

To avoid scaring the scholar, she tells him she's just an ordinary village girl who farms for a living.

Not long after they marry, she rescues a medicine person made from her own flesh and blood by an evil cultivator who stole it, and adopts her as their daughter.

The scholar adopts the child of his late elder brother, giving her another son.

Their family of four is complete.

Then one day, she hunts down her archenemy. After exhausting every trick to force him into a corner, their disguising spells unexpectedly shatter, revealing their true appearances at the same time.

Wait, how could the sinister and vicious Grand Elder of the Evil Sect be her refined and gentle, sweet little husband?

After a moment of silence, the other party quietly puts away his weapon and sobs softly:

"My dear, can I still come home for dinner tonight?"

Mu Xu is arrogant and self-serving, convinced the lives of the people in this world have nothing to do with her.

That is, until she gains a family of her own, then sees an even bigger family.

I'm terrible at writing blurbs, but this is probably the story of a transmigrator who doesn't know her own origins, changing from a villain into a communist fighter (not really).

A Mr. and Mrs. Smith trope. Happy ending.
