[Physician Heroine] [Hilarious] [Subverts Expectations] [Lighthearted] [Punishes Scumbags] [Strong Female Lead]
Wen Chuxia, a descendant of Shennong, followed her family's tradition and became a medical student, continuing to taste every herb. But her medical skills were so terrible that she accidentally poisoned herself with medicinal herbs and died.
After death, Wen Chuxia unexpectedly transmigrated into the body of the prime minister's second legitimate daughter in the Great Ye dynasty.
The good news: she got another chance at life. The bad news: on their wedding night, her new husband framed her for poisoning him and tried to strangle her!
"Ding! Host is in mortal danger. Would you like to activate the save-and-load medicine chest? Once activated, Host can move time forward or backward. Each time you overcome a crisis, you can obtain precious medicinal herbs from the chest."
Wen Chuxia: ? There's actually a deal this good?
The medicine chest gave a strange smile. "Activation successful. Host must complete missions by continually practicing medicine and earning the public's approval. Obtain the title of Medicine Immortal, or be erased."
Wen Chuxia: Damn it, with my terrible medical skills, aren't you asking the impossible?
But it didn't matter. She might be a quack, but she could always try again.
And so Wen Chuxia got to work with a bold hand.
She treated someone, killed them in the first moment, then loaded a save and tried again in the next. The patient was so grateful they banged their head on the ground before leaving. "A living Hua Tuo! One dose and the illness is cured. You're a savior, a living Bodhisattva!"
Wen Chuxia: Yes, yes, you're all right. I'm a miracle doctor!
When her white-lotus older sister tried to push her into the water, Wen Chuxia loaded an earlier save and saw it coming. She swallowed a strength pill and laughed. The woman couldn't budge her, and her sister's fake, virtuous facade was exposed in front of everyone.
When a scheming woman framed her for hurting someone, Wen Chuxia refused to let her get away with it and stuffed a handful of poison into her mouth. Unexpectedly, she cured the schemer's incurable infertility. The woman teared up and begged to become Wen Chuxia's sidekick.
With the help of the medicine chest, Wen Chuxia accidentally saved countless influential people in the capital and became everyone's darling. She also dealt with a plague, floods, extreme heat, and a whole series of other disasters. The emperor personally issued an edict, conferring on her the title of National Guardian Goddess.
A certain Prince of War who knew the truth said, "What goddess? Wen Chuxia is just a con artist!"
