An Ancient Old Woman Livestreams, and the Whole Family Feasts on Meat Every Day

[Livestreaming, Lighthearted, Business, Feel-Good, Connecting Past and Present]

Song Jihua never expected that a quick trip to the outhouse would land her in a pitch-black room!

Luckily, someone who called themself an HR rep showed up and led her out.

Along the way, Song Jihua saw lots of little rooms, brightly lit and incredibly noisy.

Pretty young women and men were talking to shiny bricks and showing off things.

The HR rep said she could do it too.

Song Jihua had no idea what livestreaming was.

But there were several mouths to feed at home, and famine had struck the village. No one could get enough to eat.

When she heard the pay was good and that they would give her rice for the trial stream, Song Jihua immediately agreed.

She'd do it. She could do anything!

She learned how to sell products on livestream by watching others, and even the handkerchiefs she embroidered on a whim sold out in a flash.

Did livestreaming need something novel?

Song Jihua made pastries, did Suzhou embroidery, occasionally helped people authenticate antiques, and often ranked first on the whole platform in PK battles.

The boss was delighted. Hiring this "old lady" had been worth it!

With her pay going up, Song Jihua bought a phone, a refrigerator, and an air conditioner.

Now the whole family ate meat and drank fine wine at every meal, and wore new clothes.

She'd never even dared to dream of a life like this before...
