Empresses in the Palace: Imperial Physician Wen Is Still Wooing Sister Mei Today

Wen Shichu, a top modern practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine, pulls an all-nighter at work and then stays up through the night watching Empresses in the Palace. When she wakes up, she's somehow become Imperial Physician Wen from the show.

Even more outrageous, she's turned from a woman into a man.

Wen Shichu's first reaction isn't to panic. Instead, she thinks: Shen Meizhuang is still alive!

In her previous life, she watched helplessly through a screen as one woman after another was trapped in the palace and met her end. This time, she decides to save as many as she can. She'll protect Zhen Huan, give An Lingrong a helping hand, and save Consort Hua too, never letting her walk into a dead end without a fight.

As for Shen Meizhuang?

She needs special protection.

Soon, everyone at the Imperial Medical Academy notices that Imperial Physician Wen has changed.

His medicine is more potent, his care more meticulous, and he never loses his cool. If someone tries to frame him, he makes them fall into their own trap. If someone tries to slowly wear Shen Meizhuang down, he dismantles their scheme piece by piece.

But gradually, everyone notices something else.

When Imperial Physician Wen treats Zhen Huan, he writes two lines of medical instructions.

When he treats Shen Meizhuang, he fills a page and a half.

Others are guided by a healer's compassion.

His compassion comes with a soft spot for one person.

Later, Shen Meizhuang survives, and the people of the harem follow paths completely different from those in the original story.

Later still, Wen Shichu and Shen Meizhuang have a child.

That child, doted on by a whole group of "aunties," eventually becomes emperor.

The entire harem is transformed.
