This continuation was written at readers' request. The story still follows the original characters, picks up right where the first story left off, and has no setup or introduction.
To simplify the original synopsis: The heroine, stranded overseas and imprisoned, devises an elaborate scheme to see the hero, whom she was separated from twenty years ago, one last time. When the hero finds out, he immediately enters the game and devises a scheme of his own, leaving the police trapped in a stalemate within a stalemate. To break the deadlock, a mysterious figure who may be a senior police official appears. They match wits with the heroine and exploit the hero's courage, using her scheme to manipulate events behind the scenes. But they discover that this is an unsolvable trap the heroine has been laying ever since she first met the hero as a girl, all to change his fate.
