[Two Male Leads, Snake Demon Bottom x Half-Demon Top, System, Sweet Romance, Mild Angst, Happy Ending] Gu Jingzhou is a snake demon who has cultivated for three hundred years on Qingyun Mountain. The moment he takes human form, a System called "Oh Oh" forcibly binds itself to him.
System mission: Win Pei Xuzhi over and get him to spend money on you. Gu Jingzhou: Who is Pei Xuzhi?
System: A PhD in computer science at Qingyun University, CEO of the Pei Group, with assets worth tens of billions. Extremely cold in nature, with an SSS-level difficulty rating.
Gu Jingzhou: Tens of billions? Can I get him to buy me all of Qingyun Mountain?
System: ...Please complete the first step, Host.
So he put his underwear on backward, went barefoot, and took a perfectly timed tumble right in front of Qingyun University's gates. Pei Xuzhi gave him a hundred yuan.
Later, he ate eight plates of food in the cafeteria, and Pei Xuzhi gave him a bank card. Later still, he had nowhere to go, so Pei Xuzhi let him move into his home. Pei Xuzhi was as cold as ice, yet he cooked braised pork for him, bought him clothes, patiently taught him to code, and stood in front of him when the demon world came after him. Gu Jingzhou's mission changed from "get him to spend money on me" to "I want to stay by his side forever."
But the System's missions grew more and more outrageous, Pei Xuzhi's gaze grew deeper by the day, and Gu Jingzhou's identity as a snake demon became harder and harder to hide.
Pei Xuzhi had known all along. He knew about the System, knew Gu Jingzhou had an ulterior motive, and knew he was a snake who had only just taken human form. Yet he still gave him money, a card, and a home.
"Why did you come near me? What do you want?"
"I don't want anything."
"Then why did you come to Qingyun University?"
