Only Four Years to Live, I Summoned a Wraith Centurion

When he enrolled, Yakela arrived at the academy with three copper coins and a necromantic appraisal certificate, enduring constant exclusion. At a scrapyard, he pieced together the remains of a hundred-man Netheriron Centurion. The skeleton awakened and rejoined the ranks, but the price was a dark mark spreading from his hand toward his heart.

The Inspectorate sent him a copper token, informing him that nineteen years ago there had been another bearer of the "Pact." He died horribly, leaving only half his body behind, its arm still twitching. Yakela knew the truth: his predecessor was dead, and now it was his turn.
