Lin Chuan, a graduate of an ordinary second-tier college, lives by the motto, "If I can lie down, I absolutely won't sit." His biggest dream is to return to his hometown and open a small shop, where he can bask in the sun, mind the store, and lie flat until old age. Then one day, while buying instant noodles at a convenience store, he gets caught in a fight between two Awakened. He comes away completely unharmed, while the two fighters are knocked unconscious by the shockwave he unleashes.
The Bureau comes knocking, and he is forced to register. From then on, trouble never stops: a rich young heir provokes him, an underground organization hunts him down, and a beautiful squad leader tries to recruit him as a gofer for the Special Operations Group. His ability is "Absolute Passivity": it only activates when he is attacked or pressured, but once triggered, it crushes his opponent. The stronger the enemy, the stronger he becomes.
The problem is, he doesn't want to fight at all. Every time he is forced to act, he wears an utterly defeated expression and says, "Don't push me." Then he kills his opponent in one move.
The S-rank organization Apocalypse schemes to rule the world of ordinary people. Its leader is the competitive senior from college whom he hated most. In the end, Lin Chuan is pushed to his limit and takes on all of Apocalypse by himself. His first words after the fight: "Can I go back to sleep now?"
The whole world keeps pushing him to become stronger, but all he wants is to be a lazy couch potato. Yet his conscience and strength won't let him.
