After Three Rejections, the Cool Doctor Finally Falls for Me

[Cool, Abstinent Surgeon x Straightforward Romance Writer]

Twenty-eight-year-old surgeon Zhao Wenyan is as pure and bright as moonlight, born into a scholarly family, and universally recognized at the hospital as "impossible to win over."

That is, until twenty-four-year-old Ruan Yu was brought to the hospital after saving someone in the street. Clutching his white coat, she said, "Dr. Zhao, you're so unfairly handsome."

She sent him flowers, engineered chance meetings, and wrote him love letters. He coldly rejected her, then handed her a prescription for "calming the heart and dispelling inner heat." Ruan Yu didn't get upset. Instead, she wrote him into her novel, Dr. Wen, Don't Run, and it became an online sensation.

Three confessions, three failures.

On her third attempt, she said, "Dr. Zhao, I mean it." He replied, "I'm under no obligation to play along with you."

Ruan Yu left, deleted him from WeChat, and cut off contact.

Who could have guessed they would meet again at a bar? When Zhao Wenyan saw another man embracing her, the fire inside him burned so fiercely he couldn't sleep. Only then did he realize he had fallen for her long ago.

They met again during a volunteer medical mission in a remote mountain village. He saw her keeping the orphanage children company late into the night, crouching on the floor and telling stories with a smile, as warm as a little sun. It turned out her family had never wanted a daughter, and her real name was Ruan Zhaodi. That night, she asked him with reddened eyes, "Dr. Zhao, would you like to get to know Ruan Zhaodi?"

He pulled her into his arms. "I'm sorry. I only want to know Ruan Yu."

Later, he made a secret account to read her novels and discovered that the male lead in her book had kissed him eighteen times. Dr. Zhao stayed up all night reading the whole story. With red ears, he called her and said, "Ruan Yu, I want to act out those eighteen kissing scenes myself."

The untouchable beauty falls from her pedestal, and an old house catches fire. There's no stopping it now.
