Step by Step, I Make You Fall for Me

(Scheming seductress + the emperor steals his subject's wife)

Su Jingjing transmigrates into a storybook and becomes a cannon-fodder supporting female character who disappears after just two chapters.

According to the book, Regent Xie Yan dotes on his concubines and neglects his wife, locking Princess Consort Su Jingjing in the residence to endure endless abuse until she dies in despair.

Xie Yan holds power over the court and has everything under his thumb.

The only person in the entire book capable of saving her from her misery is the chosen one, Emperor Sheng Xiao.

Rumor has it that Sheng Xiao keeps his distance from women and is cold and ruthless.

But after meeting Su Jingjing, he loses his composure and forgets all restraint.

"Be my lover."

"That goes against propriety."

"I'll be your kept man."

"How could that possibly work?"

One day, Su Jingjing said to Sheng Xiao, "We shouldn't see each other anymore."

"Why?"

Su Jingjing avoided his burning gaze. "I've fallen in love with someone I shouldn't love."

So Sheng Xiao issued an imperial decree ordering Su Jingjing to divorce Xie Yan.

"Be my consort. I need you."

"I won't be a concubine. I'm getting married."

"In that case, be my one and only empress. Your husband can only be me."
