On the day the college entrance exams ended, Yang Ning casually started a game of Civilization VI.
He chose Qin Shi Huang and seized seven Wonders. The seventh had just been completed.
Then a flash of white light appeared, and the screen sucked him inside.
When he opened his eyes again, he was standing in a fog that stretched beyond sight.

Before him lay thirty-six days of life-or-death trials.
Everyone else landed and immediately looked for water, thinking about how to survive the first night.
He landed and immediately started looking for Wonders.
Everyone else fought desperately to defend themselves, building walls, digging trenches, and throwing their lives into the effort.
His Wonders had already awakened.
Thirty-six days later, only one city remained in the fog.
It was the first city he had built.
