Jiang Ci simply walked through the wrong door, and somehow ate his way into President Yan’s special attention.
He complains about his boss, and Yan Xiu serves him food. He tries to leave, and Yan Xiu holds him back for another drink. He leaves his phone behind, and Yan Xiu personally brings it to his home.
Jiang Ci: “President Yan, you’ve got the wrong person.”
Yan Xiu (raising an eyebrow): “I know exactly who you are.”
Jiang Ci helps an elderly person get medical care and ends up two hours late. The CEO waits in the rain until he’s soaked to the skin.
Jiang Ci lends him some old loungewear, and Yan Xiu sits in his one-bedroom apartment wearing clothes that don’t fit.
Jiang Ci tries to repay his kindness, but Yan Xiu updates his social media with photos showing Jiang Ci’s back as he cooks in an apron.
Everyone: “How is he not your boyfriend?”
Jiang Ci: “We’re just friends, really!”
The bad news: Everyone at work believes it. The good news: Yan Xiu doesn’t seem inclined to explain, either.
