A Social Media Giveaway: I Turned My Life Around by Faking It as a Socialite

“The harder you try to show off, the better my prizes get.”

Every day at midnight, the lottery refreshes.

Luxury homes, sports cars, designer watches, cash, yachts, private jets...

If anyone dares post it on their social media feed, he's willing to draw for it.

And the people who once looked down on him are now getting humiliated one post at a time in the comments below.

Lin Yang activated the Social Media Tycoon System.

He hadn't gone home for Lunar New Year in three years.

The poorest college student in the village was doing worse than people who'd left school after middle school to find work.

His bank account held just 2,863 yuan. When his mother asked over the phone, “Are you coming home this year?” all he could say was, “We'll see.”

Then he got bound to the System, and everything changed.

Lin Yang began adding fake socialites on purpose.

They thought they were fishing for a rich guy, never realizing that what he liked was how fake their social media feeds looked.

From the group-buying socialites to the influencer socialites, the professional socialites, the real socialites, and finally the upper echelons of capital.

A legend soon spread through the fake socialite circles:

Lin Yang, the hardest man to win over.

Later, someone asked him:

“You knew we were all fake. Why add us?”

Lin Yang said:

“Because your social media feeds look good.”

Later still, a woman whose social media feed had a zero percent fakeness score appeared by his side.

And later still, he drove her back to the village.

Everyone in the village was waiting at the entrance.

This year, he was coming home.
