Lin Chuan was a “harmless little delinquent” stifled by the laws of his former world. He mixed hair-removal cream into his roommate’s shampoo, shaved a neighbor’s cat into a monk’s tonsure, and plugged a dance-exercise speaker into his boss’s microphone. He did every kind of mischief, but always made sure to stay just on the right side of the law.
In another world, the 21st Demon God had been slain by heroes for twenty generations in a row. In despair, he scoured the tomes of the abyss, and at last found “the most evil soul in the universe.”
The summoning circle lit up. Lin Chuan arrived.
Demon God: “Offer me your soul, and I shall grant you the power to conquer the world!”
Lin Chuan glanced at the hamburger on the altar, then at the Demon God’s crooked crown, and asked sincerely, “How have you made it to the 21st generation with customer service like this?”
The Demon God told him to destroy a village, so he built the villagers a school. The Demon God told him to spread terror, so he organized a sports meet. The Demon God told him to become the ultimate weapon, and he became the territory’s CEO.
Then the hero arrived, a muscle-brained meathead who could only think with his fists. When the three crossed paths, chaos ensued.
A good man full of mischief, a Demon God who can’t quite bring himself to be evil, and a well-meaning hero who always makes things worse.
